How I earned over £1,200 to pay for adventures… for nothing

Adventuring can be expensive, there’s no arguing that.

When you’re working fulltime, saving up to buy a house and pay for a wedding – it’s hard to justify spending money on adventure. For me, that’s where cashback sites came in.

I’m going to talk you through how I’ve earned over £1,200 in FREE money in the last 4 years, and how I’ve got £111 still waiting to be paid out right now.

That’s £1,200 of money I made easily, quickly and for doing exactly what I would have done anyway.

All of the money I’ve made through Quidco has gone straight into my Adventure Savings Account (yes, I really do have one of those) and has helped pay for things to make our adventures a little bit more special!

Before I go any further, let’s get a few things clear.

I don’t work for Quidco and they have not asked me to write this post. I’m telling you about this because I think it’s an amazing opportunity to let more adventure into your life.

If you want to sign up for Quidco – you can do so here.

It’s free to sign up and once you’ve earned your first £5 in cashback, Quidco will match that with another £5 completely free – if you sign up using this link here.

So how do you make this magical free money?

Easy!

Just do your online shopping as usual – but before you checkout anywhere, take a quick hop over to Quidco to see if they’ll payout.

If they do, just make sure you follow the link through from the Quidco site back to where you were shopping and hey presto – FREE MONEY.

You can also register your debit or credit cards with them, so any purchases made at participating high street stores will pay out too. I’ll be honest – I’ve earned next to nothing on this. Maybe it’s because I don’t shop in person all that often? Who knows!

The proof is in the pudding – My top 3 wins

1 – Home Insurance

We bought our first house in November, which meant we needed to sort out some Building & Contents Insurance.

After hours of trawling online for the best deal – we got our cheapest price through Admiral, and it came with a flat rate £80 cashback.

That £80 is due in my bank account in the next few weeks – and will be paying for some surfing lessons when we’re in Oahu for our Honeymoon!!

Who said insurance had to be boring?

2 – Carphone Warehouse

My mobile contract came up for renewal a few years back. Even though I stuck with my same carrier, because I went through Carphone Warehouse this time – I scored myself £70 cashback.

3 – EE Broadband

When I signed up for cheap broadband in an old rental house we lived in (out in the sticks so no superfast for me!) I managed to blag £100 cashback. I also got a sneaky Amazon voucher too, so really ended up making a clear profit… but that’s an aside from the cashback!

That £100 went directly towards paying for an Airbnb rental for a weekend away in Lock Lomond – another adventure almost entirely paid for with cashback!!

Disclaimer – As far as I’m aware, Quidco only works in the UK – although I’m sure there are alternatives for other countries. This post contains a referral link. It’s free to sign up to Quidco and once you’ve earned your first £5 in cashback, Quidco will match that with another £5 completely free – if you sign up using this link I will also receive £5 as a thank you.
